Derbyshire County Council has confirmed temporary road closures affecting Scropton Road, Main Street and Leathersley Lane, Scropton, between Hatton and the A515. Please share with neighbours and anyone who may regularly travel through the area.
Closure period: 9 September – 25 September 2026 Times: 00:00–23:59 Traffic management: Road closure Reason: Carriageway patching works
The works are expected to take 7 days within the overall closure period.
Diversion route:Scropton Road → Station Road → Bridge Street → Tutbury Bypass → Monk Street → Castle Street → The Close → Park Lane → Owens Bank → Fauld Lane → Coton Lane → Lichfield Road, and vice versa. The map indicates a significant diversion around the closure, so residents and anyone travelling through Scropton are advised to allow additional time for journeys.
